A Snow Day!

Twas the day after Christmas, and all through the city. Not creature was stirring...except for Shenedra's family and I! :).  The day after Christmas was definitely not your typical day for an outdoor photo shoot. For those of you who live here in good old South Carolina, we all know that we are not snow people. But, Shenedra is From Maryland and this was her last day in town before returning home. Luckily, she has a family of good sports and the were all up the the challenge of numb hands and brisk winds...at least for a little while. We spent the afternoon scurrying around the State House grounds from location to location, trying not to prolong our shoot no longer than was necessary. Thanks guys for being such a fun group, despite the unfortunate weather forecast. Here are a few pics from the day.

Mr and Mrs Cousins

On the 19th of December I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Cousins. These two are a fun loving bunch with a niche for artistic expression and a passion for loving life.  This was really a fun wedding to photograph, especially since it was the first time I really got to put some miles on my new D700 (Bravo Nikon!).  With the perfect blend of a great venue, an awesome DJ, a fun loving wedding party, and a cigar bar to boot; the only thing I would have enjoyed more than photographing this wedding is being a guest at this wedding!! Everybody had a great time and it was the first time I'd ever had a bride "Crank that Soulja Boy." :) To English and Christopher, You are truly a beautiful pair and we wish much success and happiness in your new life long endeavor. I can't wait to do your Happily Ever After shoot next week! Here are a few teasers from your collection. Enjoy!!

The English Language

English, the Bride in these pictures just got married yesterday, but I've been holding her bridal portrait collection for about two months. I have to admit, I could not wait to post these!!! This beautiful bride is a dancer, and she wanted her portraits to reflect that and her artistic personality.  Needless to say we came out with a very unique and edgy collection of photos.  I am in love with her entire collection!  Photos from the wedding will be posted soon, but in the meantime...ENJOY!

Tia and Carlos

OK, this shoot was just one of those shoots that just didn't want to happen! To start out, in talking on the phone with Tia trying to schedule the shoot, we just could not get our calendars to sync up at all, but  Tia said she was willing to do whatever it took to make this thing happen. Sooo...we ended up doing the shoot the very next night, and did i mentioned it rained all day long up until about an hour before we were set to start.  On my way to the shoot I got held up on Garners Ferry rd.  and ended up being about 15 minutes late. Needless to say I was more than frustrated, but hey, when duty calls you gotta make it happen!  Its a good thing Tia and Carlos were such a gorgeous couple; they were taking great shots from the very first shutter activation. And...they were up for all the ideas I had for them. Even though we got chased off by a security guard, got rained out about 90 minutes into the shoot, and we didn't get to hit all the locations I had planned, these two showed up with lots of energy and "attitude" to boot which made for an amazing night session.  Here are a few of my favs from the night. Enjoy!!
