Shanika and Casadine...Engaged!!

About two weeks ago I had a pretty busy weekend which included a bridal session, a baby shower, and a Maternity mini-session in Charleston on Saturday and a Engagement session in Charlotte the very next afternoon. Oh, did I mention I live in Columbia?! sheesh! But I digress, I had the pleasure of meeting up with Shanika and Casadine for their engagement session and we had a ball trolling around some cool spots in Charlotte. There was a little rain, but not enough to deter us and the shoot turned out great. I would really like more opportunities to shoot in this city! the last shot in the post is my version of a photo taken  of my wife and I by a great photographer in the Charlotte area by the name of Tim Hines. I hope I was able to do it justice. here are a few of my favs from a great ending to an extremely long weekend...Enjoy!

Baby Julia...3 Months!

I shot these photos of little miss Julia White in commemoration of her turning 3 months old.  Like her parents, Jacinda and Aaron, this little doll is a blast to shoot.  The shoot also included Julia's big bro Ayden, Mommy, and Daddy.  I've been slacking a lot lately on updating my blog, but I received a special request from a mother who is away from her daughter for the first time...Hang in there Cindy!!! check out a few of my favs from the shoot...Enjoy!

Mr. and Mrs. Holmes!

On May 12th, 2012 I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of Vanessa and Terry Holmes.  You guys may remember this couple from the "Love and Basketball" Themed Engagement session I did with them a while back.  This lovely couple had a beautiful ceremony at Bible Way Baptist Church in Columbia SC, with the reception to follow at the Officer's Club on Fort Jackson.  I always enjoy spending time with these guys because they are just a fun loving duo, fun to be around, and fun to shoot!  Please check out a few of my favorite shots from the day...Enjoy!!!

Safina and Avery...Married!!!

Wow!  It feels kinda strange doing this...blogging I mean. It's been quite a while since my last post, and it's not because I haven't been working, but because I've been so busy! This year got off to a fast start and already I'm feeling the pain, but I digress.
I had the pleasure of spending the day with Safina and Avery on the 28th of April to celebrate their wedding in Charleston, SC. It was a beautiful setting and great weather for an outdoor wedding.  This was my first time going to Founders Hall in Charleston but it is a beautiful venue!  The thing that stood out about this wedding to me was the presence and participation of the bride and grooms family in this wonderful event. Not to say that I don't  see this at other weddings, but with this one I could sense the closeness that this family has and the support that surrounded Safina and Avery's commitment to each other.  On another note...I broke one of my cameras at this wedding :(.  I'm usually super careful with my cameras and I try to make sure I always have the strap secured to my body when I'm moving around with them. But being careless, I did not use the strap and the camera slipped out of my hand onto the pavement about five feet below me and landed in the perfect position to break a few buttons and put a nice crack in the camera body.  But even so I moved on with my job and was still able to get a wonderful collection of shots from the day.  It always pays to have a backup! Here are a few of my favorites from the day. Enjoy!!!
