Ethan Alijah

After  a great session with the Montgomery's it was time to attempt to steal some good shots of my son Ethan.  It's a shame when you have to put your own son on your calendar to take pictures. :) This was Ethan's first shoot since he's been big enough to REALLY get around on his own and boy was it a challenge.  He had no interest at all in taking pictures. It took the whole family, Grandma included, to try and keep his attention toward the camera! We did manage to get a couple of great shots. I hope you all enjoy this peek of my Little Man! 

Brent and Cintosha

This was the last of three photo shoots I had on sunday afternoon. I headed down to Riverfront Park to meet up with Cintosha and Brent for their engagement shoot. I have to admit, I was nearly exhausted by the time we started to shoot, but these two brought an energy that just seemed to jump start my creative juices. We nailed a few natural light shoots that are a little different to my style of shooting. And we also pinned a few shots that I tried with another couple that didn't quite turn out like I wanted.  So in that regard...Big thanks to Cintosha and Brent for being the happy, fun loving couple that you are, it really came through in your collection. Here are a few of my favorites from their session.

A Beautiful Family

This past sunday I headed to the State House for a family portrait session with Samatha, Gary, and Antonio.  This was just one of those shoots that really unfold on their own because this bunch was just so photogenic.  From the very first click of the shutter we had some jewels for their collection and the shots just got better as the shoot went on.  Brittany had Ethan, our son, at this shoot (which is something we NEVER do!) but he was scheduled for a shoot directly after theirs. We made our way around the State House finding some good locations and shot until everyone was happy.  I even got Gary to volunteer to be my new assistant, and he gave me some great ideas for poses. A Weekend in Greenville

This past weekend Brittany and I headed to Furman University in Greenville to meet up with LaVisha and her daughter Nya for a portrait session.  It was a great day for a photo shoot; a nice and sunny afternoon, not too hot, plus the fact that the Furman Campus is a jewel of a place for a photographer. It really made me hate I live so far away.  Nya and her mom were both enthusiastic about taking pictures and that really made the shoot run smoothly, we shot into the evening which offered a beautiful sunset to play with. Donald And Crystal Cook

This Past Saturday morning Britt and I headed out to the State House here in Columbia, SC  to meet up with Donald and Crystal.  These two were celebrating their 2 year anniversary and they thought a photo shoot to kick the day off would be a great way to remember it.  We started out on the front steps and made our way around the perimeter of the State House, trying to take advantage of every bit of shade we could get our hands on because it was HOT.  All in all the shoot went great and we really did get some gems for Crystal and Donald to reflect on years from now. I must say it was really cool to photograph another young married couple.  Britt and I are coming up our 1st anniversary and seeing how happy these two were makes us eager to reach number two :) Don't laugh old people, I know two years is nothing to you, but for us youngsters that's a big deal! lol! Mr. and Mrs Cook, congratulations on two years of marraige and may you be blessed with many more.  Here are a few of my favs from the shoot.

A Day With the Youngs

I had the pleasure of spending this Labor Day Weekend photographing the wedding of Mr. and Mrs Nathan Young.  Nathan and  Ashley were married on September 5th 2010 at the Mitchell House and Gardens in Lexington, SC  and it was definitely a day where we couldn't ask for better weather.  The ceremony took place at 7p.m. and the couples family and friends were gathered and eager to see these two become one.  It was beautiful to watch a couple that's so full of life and  who also share an genuine love for one another finally tie the knot. The couple also opted to do a "Day After" shoot with just the two of them, which yielded some beautiful portraits do add to their wedding collection. I recommend this session to all of my Brides and Grooms, because it allows the opprutunity to capture really special and unique portraits that you just don't have time to get on the wedding day.  Ashley and Nathan, you guys had a beautiful day and I'm so happy for the both of you!
